Used to listen to Centreforce back in the day, they were the best and one of only a few pirates playing the music around 1990.

I've been to a lot of raves / free parties since and Drum & Bass nights which have been good and had some great nights but in the early days it was all new and groundbreaking.

back in the day i was working up in butlers wharf and there were a couple of lads who owned a lock-up next to to the office - they were filmingthe very early illegal rave stuff with nicky holloway and the special branch mob on a couple of huge VHS cameras - they were always asking for a coupe of grand for new cameras " as we're recording a fucking revolution ..." I just thought they would spark it on jack n jills and the scene would pop and die
Idiot- having original rights on some of that footage would be worth a bit now...

Went to some right dodgy warehouse do' in East. and North London, the M25 raves plus all the club's. Did Ibiza a couple of times back then, loved it.
Favourite and regular was the Dungeons Lea Bridge Rd, was never sure it was legal but it happened every Sat night / Sunday morning.
I used to write for Rave Magazine too.
